About Us PalSpaces | مساحات is a Palestinian civil society organization creating inclusive spaces for young people, women, and communities to connect, participate, and shape positive change. Rooted in Palestinian society and open to regional and international engagement, PalSpaces works to strengthen meaningful participation, leadership, dialogue, peacebuilding, and community resilience. We believe that sustainable change happens when people have the space, voice, skills, and opportunities to influence the decisions and processes that affect their lives and communities. Our work brings together youth, women, civil society actors, community leaders, practitioners, and other partners to exchange ideas, build capacities and networks, develop locally driven initiatives, and contribute to more inclusive and peaceful communities. Through civic participation, women and youth empowerment, dialogue and peacebuilding, community development, and storytelling, PalSpaces seeks to amplify diverse voices and transform ideas into meaningful action. We create spaces where people connect, voices are heard, and participation leads to change.
Born from a belief in the power of spaces
PalSpaces was founded on a simple but powerful conviction: that when people are given the right spaces, safe, inclusive, and enabling, they can participate, connect, and lead change in their communities and beyond.
We bring together a team of practitioners, facilitators, and advocates with deep roots in Palestinian society and extensive experience in youth work, women's empowerment, peacebuilding, and community development.
Our name reflects our purpose. 'Spaces' (مساحات) is not just a metaphor. It describes the physical, digital, and social environments we create: spaces for dialogue, for learning, for storytelling, and for action
